Designed by Studio Mellone for Nordic Knots. Hand knotted from New Zealand wool for refined, enduring softness.
Linear geometry and sculptural rhythm evoke the grandeur of early 20th-century ocean liners in Normandie; a design that channels the structured elegance of Art Deco transatlantic ships.
The collection is handmade in small batches. Only a few in each size are available.

STUDIO MELLONE
Trained as an architect and shaped by decades in New York’s design world, Mellone brings a studied eye to everything he creates. Known for subtlety, precision, and restraint, this debut product collection translates his approach to texture, materiality, and form into a new medium.
The video opens with views of São Paulo’s skyline and a green vintage car carrying rolled rugs driving through the city. It then cuts to atmospheric scenes from designer Andre Mellone’s home, where the Nordic Knots rugs — Indore, Dots, Pond, and Normandie — are placed throughout warm, modern interiors with wood, glass, and lush greenery.
Voice-over in the video says:
“Sao Paulo traffic loud, unpredictable. And everyone thinks they're in the fast lane. But hidden in the chaos, fleeting moments become inspiration. Sometimes there's a sharp angle or a curve, never intended to be beautiful. Design isn't really the things you choose. It's the things that use you.”
